About Me

I am a visual artist whose work explores the intersection of abstraction, symbolism, and figuration. In my series of abstract landscapes, I create visual narratives from fragments of color—reminiscent of shards of glass or pieces of fabric—woven into a delicate pictorial tapestry. These works do not depict real places; rather, they evoke inner landscapes shaped by memory, dreams, and intuitive perception. At times, the compositions are inspired by the architecture of European cities. The horizons remain both open and enigmatic, often imbued with archetypal shapes and forms.
My figurative compositions emerge from a dialogue with European cultural heritage - ancient architecture, traditional attire, rituals, and customs. These scenes are not literal references, but emotional and plastic reconstructions of archetypes, reinterpreted through the lens of contemporary visual language.
I was born in Kherson - a city where southern openness meets the quiet vastness of the steppe. I studied under artists Oleksandr Babak and Volodymyr Chupryna, who deeply influenced my approach to color and form. In 2006, I earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Kherson State University, and in 2019, a Doctorate in Art History from the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management in Kyiv. This academic foundation allows me to integrate intuitive creativity with a profound analytical understanding of culture. Since 2005, I have actively participated in exhibitions, art projects, and international collaborations. My artistic practice is defined by a continuous search for new forms, materials, and meanings.
Since 2022, I have been living and working in Kraków, Poland, where I engage closely with the European art scene. My works have been exhibited in Poland, France, and Italy, including at STALOWA Gallery (Warsaw), Pryzmat Gallery (Kraków), Pałac Sztuki (Kraków), Atelier de Gregory Philip (Paris), The Villa Lena Foundation (Tuscany), Raven Gallery (Kraków), among others.
